What you'll do

Design, develop, code, and test complex technical solutions following the software development lifecycle.
Investigate and resolve complex application and system technical problems through troubleshooting techniques.
Conduct complex systems analysis to recommend changes in policies and procedures to improve operations.
Prepare and install complex solutions by designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
Mentor junior engineers and review teammates' code to ensure high-quality software delivery.
Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with compliance policies.
Build and modernize scalable, secure APIs and event-driven applications for member data platforms.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree or 4 years of relevant education and/or experience.
4+ years of professional software development experience using Java.
3+ years of experience developing REST-based services with a strong emphasis on API development.
Experience building APIs using Spring Boot.
Experience developing applications using event-driven frameworks and messaging frameworks such as Kafka.
Experience implementing container-based APIs using OpenShift, Docker, or Kubernetes.
Experience working on Agile teams that deliver software in sprint-based development cycles.
Experience in financial services, insurance, banking, cloud-native development, mentoring, JavaScript, or military service (preferred).
