The SOC Security Analyst 2 joins the Information Technology Department to support a 24/7/365 Security Operations Center. The analyst identifies, reports, and resolves complex security violations, develops training programs, and provides specialized consulting on risk assessments and action plans for information assets. They also oversee auditing processes and supervise junior staff. Key technical requirements include familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals, networking protocols, and specific tools such as SPLUNK, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, and MS Defender. The role requires analyzing data from SIEM, IPS, NAC, vulnerability scanners, and log aggregation tools to address security challenges within a healthcare-related organization. Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and CompTIA Security+ Certification to manage these critical security functions.

What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
CompTIA Security+ Certification.
Ability to work rotating or irregular shifts, including holidays and weekends.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a Cybersecurity Operations Center or Cybersecurity Incident Response Team.
Experience in higher education, healthcare, or a healthcare-related organization (preferred).
Experience collecting, organizing, and analyzing data from SIEM, IPS, NAC, vulnerability scanners, network scanners, and log aggregation tools (preferred).
Familiarity with security tools such as SPLUNK, CrowdStrike, Proofpoint, and MS Defender.
Knowledge of networking protocols and cybersecurity fundamentals.
