Site Reliability Developer IV

What you'll do

• Solve complex infrastructure and cloud service problems to prevent recurring issues through automation.
• Design, write, and deploy software to improve the availability, scalability, and efficiency of Oracle products.
• Develop architectures, standards, and methods for large-scale distributed systems.
• Perform service capacity planning, demand forecasting, performance analysis, and system tuning.
• Develop network automation or device management solutions using Python and Object-Oriented programming.
• Execute incident response, root cause analysis, and recovery procedures for network operations.
• Validate software upgrades and perform reachability testing to ensure network stability.
• Manage multi-vendor optical networking environments including DWDM hardware and cloud infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is accepted.
• Six years of experience in network and software development or a related occupation.
• Experience in Optical DWDM networking across metro, terrestrial, and long-haul environments.
• Proficiency in optical network technologies including ROADM/FOADM, transponders, and various amplifiers.
• Expertise in hardware tools such as OTDR, OSA, OCS, BERT, and Power meters.
• Knowledge of network protocols including TCP/IP, BGP, and OSPF.
• Experience with cloud networking, high performance computing (HPC), and GPU systems.
• Proficiency in Python, Object-Oriented programming, and Linux/shell-based operations.
