What you'll do

Develop and contribute to the AppKit, UIKit, and SwiftUI frameworks.
Build core UI components including windows, layouts, and user controls like buttons and sliders.
Implement drawing and graphics support for macOS applications.
Enable support for new input devices and various hardware components.
Develop infrastructure for document management and user event responses.
Build and enable OS-wide features such as Dark Mode and Mac Catalyst.
Write and advocate for high-quality APIs used by developers.
Utilize low-level graphics APIs like Core Image, Core Graphics, or Metal.

What we're looking for

Strong object oriented programming skills.
In-depth development experience at the application and user interface level with Cocoa, Cocoa Touch, Windows, Android, or Java.
Strong knowledge of one or more of Swift, Objective C, C, C++, or Java.
Ability to work collaboratively to improve designs and code.
Experience building user interface frameworks (preferred).
Adept at working across teams to resolve potentially conflicting requirements (preferred).
Experience writing and advocating for API (preferred).
Experience working with low-level graphics API like Core Image, Core Graphics, or Metal (preferred).
