What you'll do

  • Lead the execution of GM’s System Safety Process for ADAS features like DAA2.0 and RIM.
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk mitigation using qualitative and quantitative methods.
  • Develop safety requirements by decomposing system functions and performing detailed hazard analysis.
  • Create and maintain a clear development plan for all system safety deliverables.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to balance feature availability, performance, and safety.
  • Support the validation and verification of safety requirements across end-to-end implementation.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of industry experience in systems safety, engineering, or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering with technical depth.
  • Experience developing safety cases for ADAS features and automated driving.
  • Hands-on application of ISO 26262, SOTIF, or similar safety standards.
  • Proficiency in HARA, FMEA, FTA, and other formal safety analysis techniques.
  • Involvement in vehicle integration, validation, and road testing of critical systems.
