Senior System Integration Validation Engineer - Occupant Safety and Access (GPSSC)

What you'll do

• Translate feature and system intent into validation and integration strategies.
• Plan, schedule, and execute system and feature-level tests including environmental and regulatory testing.
• Conduct structured exploratory evaluations beyond written requirements.
• Proactively identify, document, and drive closure of validation and integration issues.
• Maintain ADV plans, test status, and traceability to requirements.
• Author validation plans, test reports, Product Validation Letters, and compliance summaries.
• Execute defined test procedures and document results in GM systems.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer, or related field)
• 6+ years of relevant industry experience in vehicle systems, validation, integration, or testing
• Hands-on experience with system or feature-level testing on benches and vehicles
• Ability to plan and execute tests and compare results to requirements and acceptance criteria
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for clear stakeholder communication
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting with basic experience using requirements and test management tools
• Foundational knowledge of vehicle systems, interfaces, and failure modes
