Senior System Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Define and lead system design and technical specifications for automated driving technologies.
• Specify requirements, perform functional decomposition, and lead development and testing for major programs.
• Design system interfaces and requirements using Protobufs and Feature Files.
• Lead the development of software system design content and software anomaly corrections.
• Perform complex design analysis and balance system requirements.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and solution specifications using tools like Jira and Jama.
• Lead FMEA processes and allocate identified failure modes to execution teams.
• Investigate on-bench and on-vehicle integration issues for AV serial data.

What we're looking for

• Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field.
• 5 or more years of experience with automotive or similar electronic modules and/or systems engineering.
• Demonstrated proficiency in writing and comprehending software and hardware requirements and interfaces.
• Experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS, DNG, JAMA etc.
• High level of oral and written communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical leadership skills and the ability to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• 10 or more years of automotive experience (preferred).
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field (preferred).
• Experience with Python, C, C++ or equivalent (preferred).
• Experience with automotive simulation (Applied Intuition, Carsim, etc) (preferred).
• Experience working on L2+ AV products (preferred).
• Previous integration experience (sim/vehicle/bench) (preferred).
