What you'll do

Research and develop techniques to GPU-accelerate high-performance database, ETL, and data analytics applications.
Perform in-depth analysis and optimization of complex data-intensive workloads for current GPU architectures.
Influence the design of next-generation hardware architectures, software, and programming models.
Collaborate with research, hardware, system software, and tools teams to improve product performance.
Partner with industry and academia experts to push the bounds of data processing.
Optimize memory management, compression, and parallel algorithms like sort, search, and join.
Profile and optimize CUDA kernels for high-performance computing.

What we're looking for

Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related computationally focused science degree or equivalent experience.
8+ years of experience.
Programming fluency in C/C++ with a deep understanding of algorithms and software design.
Hands-on experience with low-level parallel programming such as CUDA (preferred), OpenACC, OpenMP, MPI, pthreads, or TBB.
In-depth expertise with CPU/GPU architecture fundamentals, especially the memory subsystem.
Domain expertise in high performance databases, ETL, data analytics, and/or vector databases.
Good communication, organization, and logical problem-solving skills.
Experience optimizing database operators, query planners, or vector database indexes (preferred).
