What you'll do

Implement high-performance networking code using Rust and platform-native languages across multiple desktop platforms.
Develop features for the Zero Trust desktop client to secure and route traffic through Cloudflare's network.
Improve code quality by building solid, testable, and well-documented foundations for core systems.
Solve complex problems related to scale, performance, and security requirements of high-traffic products.
Design and implement major development projects in coordination with product managers and other teams.
Own technical designs end-to-end by writing specifications and design documents to coordinate cross-team work.
Mentor engineers and raise the team's technical bar through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
Debug and resolve complex issues spanning across different systems and team boundaries.

What we're looking for

Proficiency in Rust and other platform-native languages like C, C++, Swift, C#, and Python.
Strong understanding of Windows internals including virtual memory, multi-threading, process lifecycle, kernel programming, and system APIs.
Expertise in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, QUIC, H/3, and proxying.
Ability to write high-quality, testable, well-documented code using appropriate abstractions like dependency injection.
Experience writing multithreaded, asynchronous code and debugging network-related problems.
Authorization to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
In-depth knowledge of Windows kernel-mode programming and network drivers (preferred).
Experience mentoring engineers, owning technical designs end-to-end, and communicating across team boundaries (preferred).
