What you'll do

  • Own frontend products from initial inception to final delivery at Uber scale.
  • Design and build web applications using React, GraphQL, Flow, and Node.js.
  • Utilize Uber's open-source frameworks including Base UI, Styletron, and Fusion.js.
  • Translate business requirements from stakeholders into cross-functional technical solutions.
  • Track feature experiment success and iterate on user experiences with Data Science teams.
  • Instrument single-page applications with monitoring metrics and analytics systems.
  • Coach and mentor junior engineers while providing technical leadership to the team.

What we're looking for

  • 5+ years of experience in web development.
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Javascript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Proficient in web application development frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Vue.js, Node.js, Angular or Next.js.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven experience in shipping high-quality features on schedule.
  • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience building with RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and bi-directional streaming messaging services (preferred).
  • Experience building microservices, APIs, and instrumenting single-page applications with monitoring and analytics (preferred).
