Senior Software Engineer L5, Personalization Data

What you'll do

• Build production data systems using Spark or Flink on web-scale datasets.
• Develop and maintain a suite of data products and frameworks for big data processing.
• Design schemas and data models to create elegant and intuitive datasets.
• Partner with algorithm teams to improve and innovate Netflix personalization features.
• Build large datasets that serve as inputs for machine learning algorithms.
• Drive continuous improvement of data products to enhance the member experience.
• Resolve competing priorities by applying organizational context to technical tasks.

What we're looking for

• Expertise in building production data systems using Spark, Flink, etc. on web-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language such as Java or Scala.
• Ability to independently learn and pick up new technology skills.
• Hands-on experience with schema design and data modeling.
• Passion for engineering excellence and tolerance for ambiguity in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to strategically partner with diverse stakeholders to drive innovation.
