What you'll do

Build and evolve the Elastic MCP server and its underlying infrastructure using Go.
Develop a platform for universal agent skills, including portable formats, authoring tools, and linting systems.
Establish correctness standards by ensuring all shipped skills and tools are backed by evaluations.
Design and deliver integrations to make Elastic available within third-party AI ecosystems.
Contribute to the Elastic CLI to improve efficiency for developers and automated agents.
Develop, maintain, and support libraries and tools for the Elastic Stack using Go and Rust.
Provide product thinking to determine what features should be built based on ecosystem needs.

What we're looking for

8+ years of software engineering experience working on backend systems, services, or libraries.
Proficiency with AI/ML frameworks and a working understanding of LLMs, agents, agent skills, and MCP protocols.
Significant recent working experience in Go and other programming languages like Rust.
Knowledge of client-server networking, HTTP, and RESTful APIs.
Ability to read and contribute to codebases in unfamiliar programming languages.
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills for interacting with customers and partners.
Experience building or operating infrastructure and an interest in telemetry and observability (preferred).
Prior experience with Elastic products (preferred).
