Senior Software Engineer II, Ads Quality

What you'll do

• Design and deploy machine learning infrastructure to optimize the ads serving funnel from retrieval to pricing.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in training and serving systems to improve throughput, cost, and latency.
• Build low-latency real-time feature processing pipelines to serve fresh features for every ad request.
• Develop the infrastructure foundation for real-time sequential foundation models, including online feature stores and streaming update paths.
• Collaborate with product managers and data scientists to co-design systems that align model architecture with business needs.
• Mentor engineers and set technical direction while conducting code reviews to ensure high quality and maintainability.
• Manage the integration of large language models and bespoke foundation models into the advertising ecosystem.

What we're looking for

• Must have a graduate degree in computer science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, operations research, or equivalent experience.
• Must have 3+ years of industry experience building ML infrastructure or using machine learning to solve problems with large datasets.
• Must possess deep expertise in building, scaling, and managing ML infrastructure for training and serving in production environments.
• Must have strong programming skills in Python or Go, along with proficiency in SQL, Spark, Pandas, Torch, Tensorflow, and XGBoost.
• Must possess strong analytical problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience leading a team to build ML infrastructure is preferred (5+ years).
• Experience with real-time feature processing, streaming systems, sequential modeling, or digital advertising platforms is preferred.
• Experience with LLM integrations, prompt engineering, or serving large foundation models in high-QPS settings is preferred.
