Senior Software Engineer, Identity Security

What you'll do

• Manage and establish identities for software applications, services, and containers to secure cloud resource access.
• Develop fundamental security services to address identity challenges at a large scale.
• Define and advocate for standardized minimum security requirements across the organization.
• Monitor progress on the adoption of security practices by various engineering teams.
• Guide engineering teams in incorporating secure tools and protocols into their development processes.
• Build and operate highly available, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems using Golang or Swift.
• Secure RESTful and gRPC APIs through robust authentication, authorization, and input validation.
• Implement policy-based authorization mechanisms and manage identity management protocols like OAuth and JWT.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of software development or production operations experience in a large-scale environment.
• 5+ years of experience writing production code in Golang or Swift.
• Proven experience building and operating large scale, highly available, distributed, and fault tolerant systems.
• Excellent understanding of operating systems concepts including multi-threading, memory management, networking, storage, performance, and scale.
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization (CNCF Kubernetes Developer or equivalent).
• Knowledge of securing APIs, including input validation, authentication, and authorization mechanisms for RESTful and gRPC APIs.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of policy-based authorization, identity protocols, incident response, cryptography, and system troubleshooting (preferred).
