What you'll do

Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript.

Lead technical design reviews, code reviews, and architectural discussions to influence team implementation decisions.
Manage the lifecycle, cost of ownership, and disaster recovery planning for internal developer tools.
Research and execute proof-of-concept activities for emerging technologies and AI-assisted developer workflows.
Provide technical oversight and coaching to resolve complex operational issues and triaging bugs.

What we're looking for

A 4-year degree or equivalent experience is required.
Candidates must have over 5 years of professional software engineering experience.
Proficiency in JVM languages, specifically Kotlin or Java, is required for backend development.
Experience designing and shipping production REST APIs is required.
Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases is required.
Ability to navigate and contribute to distributed, multi-service codebases across multiple languages including Python and TypeScript.
Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and developer platform tooling is required.
Strong communication skills are needed to convey technical concepts to partners and teammates.
