Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platform

What you'll do

• Build and support a project generation system that scaffolds fully configured codebases for engineers.
• Design abstractions for seamless infrastructure integrations and AI-native agent interfaces for IDEs.
• Develop and maintain a full-stack system using Kotlin, Python, and TypeScript.
• Translate abstract architectures into concrete designs and influence implementation across the engineering team.
• Lead code reviews, design reviews, testing, and debugging activities at the application level.
• Evaluate and research new technologies to determine viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership.
• Provide technical oversight and coaching to resolve complex and severe technical issues.
• Lead disaster recovery activities and contribute to comprehensive disaster recovery planning.

What we're looking for

• 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in JVM languages such as Kotlin or Java.
• Experience designing and shipping production REST APIs.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
• Ability to navigate and contribute to distributed, multi-service codebases.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and developer platform tooling.
• React/TypeScript frontend experience (preferred).
• Python experience (preferred).
• Experience with AI tooling, LLMs, or the Model Context Protocol (preferred).
• Familiarity with template engines like Jinja2 or Cookiecutter (preferred).
• Background in developer experience, internal tooling, or platform engineering (preferred).
