Senior Software Engineer, Design Systems

What you'll do

• Contribute to, maintain, and expand critical design component libraries using React.
• Implement AI solutions to measurably accelerate product design workflows.
• Lead projects from initial ideation through implementation to final rollout.
• Conduct internal user research to gather insights for feature prioritization and development.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for support requests regarding the Design System portfolio.
• Maintain the integrity and reliability of the Design System portfolio with cross-functional teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to meet critical service level agreements.
• Conduct regular design and code reviews to ensure high-quality software standards.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of professional experience designing, building, and shipping software.
• Experience with single page applications architecture, patterns, and design.
• Experience fetching data from GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Experience with client-side instrumentation and observability.
• Proficient in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js.
• Proven ability to lead projects and clearly and effectively communicate with partners.
• Strong project scoping and project management skills.
• Able to design, architect, debug, test, and create well-documented code.
• Excellent communication skills (preferred).
• Ownership mentality and ability to drive forward-looking technical roadmaps (preferred).
• Thoughtful, practical approach to problem-solving that considers tradeoffs (preferred).
• Data-driven decision making using qualitative and quantitative data (preferred).
• Strong intuition for user experience flows (preferred).
• Expert at managing web applications with complex state management (preferred).
• Current or former professional experience working with Figma Plugin (preferred).
• Experience contributing to open-source projects (preferred).
