What you'll do

Own the development of "UcxExchange" in Velox for GPU-to-GPU communication in Presto.
Drive the feature roadmap, improve performance, and ensure correctness for the UcxExchange component.
Optimize multi-node performance for analytical queries with Presto GPU on on-prem and cloud servers.
Lead projects in Presto, Velox, and cuDF regarding operator completeness and GPU memory oversubscription.
Develop highly optimized C++ and CUDA libraries for data loading, parsing, joins, and aggregations.
Implement efficient CPU fallback mechanisms for GPU-based data processing.
Produce high-performance, robust, and readable code for open-source software libraries.

What we're looking for

8+ years of experience in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
MS degree or PhD in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong Modern C++ programming skills.
Expertise in high-performance communication protocols (e.g., UCX, NCCL) and distributed algorithms for query engines (preferred).
Familiarity with RAPIDS cuDF (preferred).
Experience in distributed workflow development and debugging (preferred).
Passion for open-source software development and publishing work in technical blogs and conferences (preferred).
