What you'll do

Develop and ship behavior and trajectory planning for L4 robotaxis in dense urban environments.
Design and implement optimization, sampling, and search-based planning algorithms considering vehicle dynamics and constraints.
Define and implement fallback behaviors and safety-oriented designs for minimal risk maneuvers.
Integrate planning modules with prediction, perception, mapping, and control systems while defining clean interfaces.
Build and improve offline and closed-loop simulation benchmarks to measure safety, legality, and comfort.
Develop tools for debugging, scenario triage, evaluation automation, and parameter management across vehicle platforms.
Troubleshoot end-to-end system issues using logs and scenario replays to resolve on-road failures.

What we're looking for

BS, MS, or higher degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
12+ years of experience in the relevant field.
Strong software engineering skills in C/C++ for production-quality, performance-aware, and testable code.
Experience with Python for tooling and evaluation is a plus.
Hands-on background in motion planning, decision-making, optimization, search, geometry, vehicle dynamics, or real-time systems.
Experience building simulation and evaluation pipelines, writing unit/integration tests, and implementing automated regression prevention.
Strong debugging skills to resolve multi-module system issues and turn ambiguous failures into actionable fixes.
Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across different functional teams.
