Senior Software Engineer

As a Senior Software Engineer, Apple Ads, you will join the team responsible for building the on-device systems that deliver advertisements across the App Store, Apple News, Stocks, and Maps. This systems and platform engineering role focuses on developing OS daemons, frameworks, and SDKs to fetch, rank, and filter ad candidates while enforcing policy compliance and ensuring privacy-by-architecture. You will design and debug performant components for high-scale environments, collaborating with cross-functional partners to shape the product roadmap. The role requires expertise in C-like languages, concurrency patterns like multi-threading and synchronization, and cross-process communication. Candidates should possess a deep understanding of OS fundamentals such as memory management and file systems, along with experience building high-performance client SDKs involving caching and versioning. Preferred skills include Swift, Objective-C, CoreData, libdispatch, XPC, and client-server networking.
