As a senior software engineer on the Segmentation Service team at Adobe, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining high-performance services that enable real-time customer segmentation. Your responsibilities include designing and implementing key components of the segmentation engine, optimizing query evaluation algorithms for efficiency, and building advanced data pipelines using Apache Spark. You will also develop tools to monitor and debug performance issues, deploy production services, and continuously improve them based on user feedback. This role requires expertise in Java or Scala, proficiency with databases and compilers, and a strong understanding of algorithms and data structures. With experience in scalable query engines and language design, you will collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to solve complex challenges related to scale and performance, contributing to Adobe's Customer Experience Orchestration solutions.
Develop query compilation algorithms to transform and rewrite segment definition queries.
Create query optimization and evaluation algorithms for multi-query, incremental, and streaming evaluations.
Build tools to monitor query performance and debug semantic errors in real-time data processing.
Work on advanced data pipelines using Apache Spark for cross-functional themes.
Design and implement key components of a high-performance segmentation engine independently.
Deploy production services and continuously improve them based on customer feedback.
