What we're looking for

A B.S. in Computer Science or related field is required; an M.S. is preferred.
8+ years of software engineering experience building scalable systems with Scala, Java, or similar strongly typed languages.
Deep proficiency in Java or Scala including JVM memory management, GC tuning, and thread scheduling.
Proven ability to reason about system performance at scale and profile production systems for optimization.
Experience developing backend distributed applications using Java/JVM and the Spring framework.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
Ability to solve technical, data, and logical problems using structured, focused approaches.
