Senior Identity Risk & Scam Analyst

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end risk controls for account takeover and scam prevention across the Coinbase ecosystem.
• Define risk success metrics and build reporting frameworks to drive continuous control improvements.
• Use data to assess risk and quantify tradeoffs for decisions impacting large customer segments.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Science to develop custom risk management strategies.
• Synthesize data findings into clear narratives and recommendations for senior risk and product leadership.
• Investigate and mitigate fraudulent activities by reviewing alerts on anomalous customer and transaction behavior.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of hands-on risk experience in e-commerce or financial services.
• At least 2 years of experience focused on combating ATO and scams in a Fraud, Trust and Safety, or Account Security function.
• 2+ years of professional experience in data analysis using SQL and Python with large-scale databases.
• Proficiency with business intelligence and data visualization tools like Tableau, Looker, or Superset.
• Proven ability to independently scope and deliver analytics projects while collaborating cross-functionally.
• Familiarity with blockchain analytics and fraud trends within the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
• Experience utilizing generative AI responsibly to deliver business-ready outputs and improve workflow efficiency.
