TL;DR · Staff Threat Analyst, Ads Fraud
Staff Threat Analyst, Ads Fraud serves as the operational architect for Advertiser Fraud within the Safety team. This role involves end-to-end ownership of establishing strategies, building foundational detection playbooks, and defining enforcement frameworks to protect the advertising ecosystem from bad actors. The individual will conduct deep-dive investigations into complex fraud networks, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with cross-functional Product, Engineering, and Data Science teams to convert adversarial insights into scalable automated defenses. Key responsibilities include prioritizing risks like account takeover, payment fraud, and cloaking while designing standardized operational playbooks. The role requires proficiency in SQL, Python or R, and big data environments to query petabyte-scale datasets and construct network graphs. What we're looking for
- 7+ years of experience in threat intelligence, ad tech safety, trust & safety investigations, or platform integrity.
- Demonstrated 0-to-1 track record of building threat response frameworks in ambiguous environments.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, or R and big data environments to query petabyte-scale datasets and construct network graphs.
- Experience using AI/LLMs as investigative copilots and partnering with ML teams for detection classifiers.
- Deep functional expertise in digital ad ecosystems, serving infrastructure, and ad-specific fraud archetypes.
- Familiarity with global ad compliance, privacy regulations, and regulatory reporting standards (preferred).
