The Senior RHEL System Administrator joins the GD Mission Systems team to provide expert technical leadership and support for critical server environments. You will solve complex problems within the server OS to ensure seamless service delivery across various mission-critical domains including cyber and undersea operations.

What you'll do

Perform server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems.

Conduct a complete analysis of alerts to identify and resolve server problems.
Serve as a front-line interface to users to resolve technical issues and provide training.
Perform systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.

What we're looking for

U.S. citizenship is required.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 5 years of relevant experience is required.
Master's degree with 3 years of relevant experience is required.
Advanced understanding of server-based operating systems, specifically Red Hat Enterprise Linux, is required.
Subject matter expertise in mentoring others on server environment administration is required.
Enhanced troubleshooting skills in server OS, networking, and storage technologies are required.
Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and supporting large-scale enterprise server solutions is required.
