As a Senior Researcher - Security, you will join the Security Research Group at Microsoft Research to address security and privacy problems arising from the shift to AI systems. Your work will focus on software and systems security, zero-knowledge proofs, and data-driven security. You will conduct original research, publish at leading venues, and design, prototype, and implement systems that demonstrate your ideas. This role requires writing code, standing up systems, and collaborating with colleagues to bring research into shipping technologies. You must possess technical depth in security, machine learning, data mining, or systems. What we're looking for
Doctorate in a relevant field.
Master's Degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of related research experience.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of related research experience.
Equivalent experience to the degrees and years listed above.
PhD or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field with a research background in security, machine learning, data mining, or systems (preferred).
Publications at security, privacy, or systems venues (preferred).
Hands-on technical depth to prototype, implement, and debug your own ideas (preferred).
Experience doing research as part of a team (preferred).
