Senior Product Designer, Space joins the Software Product Design & Research team to serve as a mission product designer for the space organization. What you'll do

Own the design direction for spacecraft mission planning and command & control experiences from discovery to delivery.
Lead discovery and validation through problem decomposition sessions and collaborative workshops with internal operators and stakeholders.
Identify opportunities for strategic reuse of existing design systems across maritime, aerial, and space domains.
Create high-fidelity mockups, journey maps, and detailed documentation to communicate complex user workflows.
Collaborate with engineering and product management teams to integrate designs into technical requirements and implementation.
Partner with the design systems team to evolve the underlying platform based on specific space domain needs.
Translate complex stakeholder requirements into clear, high-craft visual and interaction designs for mission-critical environments.

What we're looking for

Must have 5+ years of experience in product design, UX, or HCI.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
Must demonstrate high-craft visual and interaction design for complex technical workflows.
Must possess a systems thinking mindset to map user journeys across multiple contexts.
Must have strong prototyping skills to drive clarity in decision-making.
Must be able to communicate the reasoning behind design decisions to engineering, product, and business teams.
Preferred experience designing for aerospace, industrial control, robotics, or other complex operational environments.
Preferred experience leading user research sessions and facilitating cross-functional workshops.
