What you'll do

Lead customer requirements analysis and define system requirements and allocations for lower-level elements and components.
Perform functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, trade studies, and systems integration and test.
Develop software architecture artifacts to provide a common understanding of complex systems to various stakeholders.
Provide technical strategy, operational concept development, and system architecture definition throughout the product lifecycle.
Support new business pursuits by preparing technical content, cost estimates, and solution proposals.
Identify and mitigate project risks while defining reasonable trade spaces for the engineering team.
Lead reviews of software systems and provide input on design decisions based on domain expertise.
Mentor and guide less experienced engineers to improve the work environment and technical capabilities.

What we're looking for

Must have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or a related Science, Engineering, Technology, or Mathematics field.
Requires 10+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 8 years of job-related experience.
Must possess a Department of Defense Secret security clearance at time of hire.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Experience as a Lead SE or Chief Engineer on a complex software system is highly recommended.
Agile experience is preferred.
Top Secret clearance is preferred.
Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) is beneficial.
