As a Senior Platform Software Engineer, you will join the team responsible for building platform capabilities that make OCI services safer and easier for engineers and customers to use. What you'll do

Design, build, test, and operate backend platform components, APIs, SDKs, and integration frameworks.
Own a defined platform area and manage its contracts, versioning, and multi-tenant interoperability.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues across distributed services with compatibility-safe fixes.
Improve system availability, performance, and capacity through resilience patterns, monitoring, and automation.
Create high-quality technical documentation, samples, and operational guidance for platform consumers.
Lead code reviews and implement secure coding practices to ensure high software quality.
Perform periodic maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure service reliability and health.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
4+ years of professional software-development experience; advanced degree holders may have fewer years of experience.
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented or systems programming language, such as Java, C++, C#, or Go.
Experience designing and building backend services, APIs, microservices, SDKs, or developer-facing platform capabilities.
Understanding of distributed-systems fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, object oriented design, and secure software-development practices.
Experience with API design, integration, versioning, testing, source control, and production troubleshooting.
Experience building highly available, scalable cloud services or platform products (preferred).
Experience with RESTful APIs, containers, cloud-native deployment, observability, or service reliability engineering (preferred).
