Senior Platform AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Define the architectural direction, investment strategy, and roadmap for the efficiency platform across multiple internal teams.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of the platform from initial design and implementation through sustained production operation.
• Establish technical standards for infrastructure powered by artificial intelligence while resolving cross-team architectural challenges.
• Manage storage and caching strategies that scale across heterogeneous compute environments.
• Lead unified solutions including orchestration patterns, authentication, authorization, observability, and SLA enforcement.
• Define platform contracts to onboard new agents and skills from various domain teams.
• Mentor senior engineers and provide technical leadership to grow the capabilities of the engineering team.

What we're looking for

• BS, MS, or PhD in CS, EE, CE, or a related field.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating production-grade platform or backend infrastructure.
• 5+ years of direct ML infrastructure experience including end-to-end ownership of model serving platforms or latency-sensitive services.
• Proven track record of setting technical direction, defining strategy, and establishing architectural standards at the department or company level.
• Strong Python skills and proficiency in at least one compiled language such as C, C++, Go, Java, or Rust.
• Hands-on experience with job queues and sandboxed execution using tools like Kubernetes Jobs, Celery, Sidekiq, Temporal, or container runtimes.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to align senior team members and drive architectural decisions across organizations.
