This position solves the complex challenge of aligning technology investments with infrastructure modernization goals while ensuring scalable, secure, and resilient service delivery across a massive healthcare organization.

What you'll do

  • Manage the lifecycle of software investments including planning, acquisition, licensing, and renewal for enterprise infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to evaluate software solutions and negotiate complex contracts.
  • Develop and execute vendor management strategies to improve performance, mitigate risk, and maximize investment value.
  • Monitor software usage, compliance, and service levels to ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio rationalization and infrastructure modernization to drive cost efficiency.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to technology leadership on software spend and infrastructure roadmap decisions.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience (High School Diploma/GED plus 4 years of relevant experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure Engineering, Application Development, Platform Engineering, Data Engineering, Software Asset Management, or related enterprise technology disciplines.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Mainframe, Data Center, Infrastructure Platforms, Cloud, Network, or large-scale enterprise technology environments.
  • 5+ years of experience managing software portfolios, software licensing, technology procurement, vendor relationships, contract negotiations, or technology asset management.
  • 3+ years of experience working with third-party technology vendors, software publishers, and vendor support organizations.
  • 3+ years of experience solving complex business and technical challenges, driving cross-functional initiatives, and influencing stakeholders to achieve strategic outcomes.
  • Experience managing enterprise software contracts, licensing compliance, vendor governance, and technology investment planning within large-scale organizations (preferred).
  • Professional certifications such as ITIL Foundation, CSAM, CITAM, AWS, Microsoft Azure, or comparable technology certifications (preferred).
