As the Senior Manager, Program Management - Digital Enablement - CA, you will join the Digital Enablement team to lead the digital transformation and optimization of physical assets across the retail portfolio. You will serve as a strategic leader responsible for the enterprise asset strategy for refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting controls. Your daily work involves managing capital planning for building management upgrades, transitioning legacy controllers to scalable technologies, and owning Building Automation System design standards. You will utilize knowledge of BACnet and Modbus protocols to ensure secure data flow while integrating hardware-agnostic, connected systems. Key responsibilities include orchestrating cross-functional projects, managing vendor SLAs, and enforcing IT/OT security policies. You will solve complex problems regarding asset lifecycles, energy efficiency, and remote diagnostics within a large-scale commercial retail environment.
Lead the strategic development and execution of building asset digitization across Walmart Canada's retail portfolio.
Manage capital planning and execution for large-scale building management upgrades and legacy controller replacements.
Own and evolve Building Automation System (BAS) design standards, communication protocols, and network architectures.
Transition controls from legacy hardware to software-defined platforms to enable remote diagnostics and AI-driven maintenance.
Enforce information security and network architecture policies across the building automation and operational technology environment.
Manage strategic relationships with vendors and contractors while tracking KPIs and negotiating service level agreements.
Partner with cross-functional teams to maximize equipment uptime and reduce the total cost of ownership.
What we're looking for
Deep technical knowledge of building automation systems (BAS), commercial refrigeration, HVAC, and lighting controls is required.
Proven track record of authoring and enforcing enterprise-level engineering standards, construction specifications, and design guidelines.
Experience leading large-scale technology upgrades and hardware-to-software migrations in commercial retail or multi-site facilities.
Practical understanding of securing operational technology (OT) and aligning hardware deployments with corporate cybersecurity policies.
Exceptional skills in managing vendors, tracking SLAs, and coordinating complex timelines across multiple concurrent projects.
2 years of experience leading cross-functional teams.
3 years of experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field and 4 years of experience in project management, compliance, or operations management; OR 6 years of experience in those areas.
Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field (preferred).
Project Management Certification (preferred).
Experience managing a budget, profit and loss statement, or related financial process (preferred).
