TPA & Payer Solutions is hiring a Senior Manager of IT Operations – Technical Health to lead a technical health program aimed at enhancing stability, security, and end-user experience across critical technology platforms. This individual contributor role involves driving continuous improvement through proactive assessments, remediation planning, and cross-functional coordination with engineering, infrastructure, database, security, and business teams. Key responsibilities include overseeing operating system upgrades, database upgrades, software upgrades, and security vulnerability remediation while establishing technical health metrics to monitor platform risk and performance. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of IT operations experience, a strong understanding of infrastructure landscapes, and the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to senior leaders. Familiarity with regulated environments and incident management disciplines is preferred, as is healthcare or payer domain expertise.
Own and mature the Technical Health program, including governance, prioritization, reporting, and continuous improvement roadmaps.
Lead planning, coordination, and execution oversight for operating system upgrades, database upgrades, and software upgrades across environments.
Drive security vulnerability remediation programs by partnering with technical teams to assess risk, prioritize work, track progress, and communicate outcomes.
Monitor and improve application and platform health using observability and performance monitoring concepts to identify trends and risks.
Establish and maintain technical health metrics such as patch posture, upgrade currency, vulnerability exposure, and reliability trends.
Translate technical health and platform risk into clear business impact for senior leaders to enable informed decisions.
What we're looking for
7+ years of IT operations or technical program leadership experience in enterprise technology environments.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving system and software upgrades.
Strong understanding of vulnerability management, patching, and application performance monitoring concepts.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the capability to communicate technical topics clearly to senior leaders.
Demonstrated focus on quality, risk reduction, and end-user impact in operational decision-making.
Experience translating technical health metrics into clear business impacts for executive-level decisions.
