Senior Manager Data Analytics - Global Payment Network - Data Governance and Programs joins the Data Governance and Pricing team within the Global Payment Networks division. This role focuses on managing data-adjacent risks, including Network Conflict Risk, External Data Sharing, Privacy, GDPR, CCPA, and the Interchange Fee Prohibition Act. The manager will develop overarching programs, establish controls to mitigate risk, and refine an enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework. Daily responsibilities include planning validation projects, assessing tool methodologies, researching industry best practices for emerging tools, and coaching junior staff. The role requires expertise in data governance, predictive analytics, and statistical or econometric modeling using large datasets and open source data technologies. The position addresses critical risk management frameworks and policy compliance within the payment network domain to ensure secure and compliant analytical processes across the organization.
Manage data-related risks including network conflict, privacy, and regulatory compliance across global payment networks.
Develop overarching programs and establish controls to mitigate risk across various business units.
Refine an enterprise-wide analytical tools validation framework.
Plan and execute validation projects to assess the quality of analytical tool methodologies.
Identify and prototype industry best practices for emerging analytical tools.
Communicate technical findings clearly through written reports and verbal presentations.
Coach and mentor junior staff members on data analysis and project goals.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and at least 7 years of experience performing data analytics, or a Master's degree and at least 5 years of experience.
At least 5 years of experience performing professional data analysis work.
At least 5 years of experience leading and developing with open source data technologies.
At least 2 years of experience managing people.
Master’s Degree or PhD in a Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, or related field (preferred).
At least 7 years of experience in statistical or econometrics hands-on work (preferred).
At least 5 years of experience manipulating and performing analysis with large data sets (preferred).
Experience in financial services, data governance, predictive analytics, and validating statistical or econometric models (preferred).
