What you'll do

  • Design, develop, and deploy end-to-end, performant AI/ML applications for Clover merchants.
  • Build the underlying AI/ML platform architecture required to scale merchant experiences.
  • Research state-of-the-art AI/ML techniques to integrate into team best practices and design patterns.
  • Shape the AI/ML roadmap and technical infrastructure in coordination with Product, Design, and Engineering teams.
  • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other members of the Data Science team.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of industry experience developing end-to-end customer-facing AI/ML applications and infrastructure.
  • Strong fluency in Python, REST APIs, AI/ML frameworks, modeling techniques, and model serving.
  • Experience with data stores (relational, NoSQL, object, vector), CI/CD (Docker, Jenkins), and serverless technologies.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong internal motivation to improve team capabilities in a rapid, iterative manner.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or Physics (preferred).
