Your daily work involves building scalable server-side services using Go, Java, or Python while managing OpenShift and Kubernetes cluster lifecycles in complex distributed environments. You will utilize tools like Temporal for workflow orchestration and integrate AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality. The role addresses the technical challenge of providing a consistent user experience across multiple hypervisor platforms including VMware ESXi and KVM, ensuring operational stability through automated remediation and robust system design.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot software solutions for virtualized cluster lifecycle automation.
Automate provisioning, configuration, patching, compliance enforcement, and decommissioning using Platform APIs.
Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Lead production-grade deployments and diagnose complex technical issues using structured troubleshooting methods.
Document design decisions to ensure auditability across large-scale infrastructure projects.
Mentor engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and technical guidance to elevate engineering standards.

What we're looking for

8+ years of hands-on software engineering experience building and operating production systems.
Proficiency in Go, Java, or Python for building scalable server-side services.
Strong fundamentals in system design, including API design, data modeling, testing strategy, and operational stability.
Experience automating OpenShift/Kubernetes cluster lifecycle and Day-2 operations.
Working knowledge of security and compliance expectations, such as authN/authZ and secure SDLC.
Experience with workflow orchestration at scale (Temporal strongly favored; similar orchestration acceptable).
Familiarity with hypervisor environments like VMware ESXi, OpenShift, or KVM (preferred).
Cloud-native experience including containers, CI/CD, observability, and reliability engineering (preferred).
