The Senior Lead Software Engineer, Full Stack joins the Developer Experience team to build a fully integrated developer tool ecosystem. You will collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions while mentoring other members of the engineering community. Your daily work involves utilizing JavaScript, Java, HTML/CSS, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go. You will also work with Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and various AWS tools. This position focuses on solving complex business problems by marrying data with emerging technologies to drive powerful experiences for millions of Americans.

What you'll do

Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers.
Develop distributed microservices and full stack systems to meet regulatory needs.
Deliver robust cloud-based solutions using AWS tools and services.
Build an integrated developer tool ecosystem that provides a guided user experience.
Write and evaluate code using JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, and Go.
Manage container orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes.
Mentor other members of the engineering community on technology trends and best practices.

What we're looking for

At least 6 years of experience in software engineering.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
Master’s Degree (preferred).
9+ years of software development experience using Java or Python (preferred).
4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service (preferred).
4+ years of experience with DevOps engineering, build automation, and CI/CD pipeline development using Jenkins (preferred).
3+ years of experience scripting with Groovy for build and pipeline automation (preferred).
