TL;DR · Senior Internal Trust and Protection Analyst

The Senior Internal Trust and Protection Analyst joins the security team to identify, assess, and mitigate risks posed by employees and contractors with access to sensitive information. This role serves as a subject matter expert across the insider risk lifecycle, including detection, triage, investigation, case adjudication, and mitigation. Key responsibilities include leading end-to-end investigations into intellectual property theft, economic espionage, and fraud, while developing corporate strategy, policies, and awareness programs. The candidate will utilize advanced elicitation techniques, open-source intelligence gathering, and AI-enabled workflows to improve analytical capabilities. Technical competencies include understanding cybersecurity, networking, and digital forensics examinations. The position addresses the business problem of protecting trade secrets and preventing unauthorized data ex-filtration while navigating complex international data privacy laws and cross-border legal frameworks.

What you'll do

  • Lead end-to-end investigations into sophisticated insider risks including intellectual property theft, fraud, and economic espionage.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive investigative plans, evidence collection strategies, and structured witness interviews.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to US law enforcement and intelligence communities on national security and trade secret matters.
  • Coordinate with international law enforcement agencies on cross-border investigations while navigating complex data privacy laws.
  • Prepare executive-level investigation reports, threat assessments, and case summaries for senior leadership.
  • Identify systemic vulnerabilities and translate investigation findings into actionable security recommendations for the company.
  • Develop and implement employee awareness programs focused on recognizing and reporting insider threats.

What we're looking for

  • 10+ years of experience in high-tech investigations, intelligence, or insider threat analysis/investigations.
  • Proven track record of leading complex investigations across various business units, preferably in an international or global environment.
  • Experience conducting and leading interviews using advanced elicitation techniques.
  • Strong ability to source and analyze data points to drive insider threat detection and investigations.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to visually present complex topics and write concise reports.
  • Experience working with confidential, sensitive, or privileged information.
  • Proficiency in applying AI tools and AI-enabled workflows to improve analytical capabilities and business outcomes.
  • Prior experience in corporate insider risk, global security, or intelligence within a large technology, semiconductor, or defense company (preferred).
