Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Network Infrastructure

What you'll do

• Lead company-wide network changes like service mesh upgrades and gateway migrations using staged rollouts.
• Simplify and modernize the cloud network to reduce risk and improve operability.
• Build self-serve tools in Go and Terraform for product engineers to manage services independently.
• Establish and maintain strong security and compliance boundaries within the network.
• Debug complex network issues and develop improved alerts, dashboards, and guardrails.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response for network-related issues.
• Drive follow-up fixes and technical improvements based on incident post-mortems.

What we're looking for

• Experience running production infrastructure at scale in infrastructure, SRE, or network engineering.
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, HTTP, and load balancing.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes networking, such as a CNI, service mesh, or ingress.
• Experience with cloud networking, ideally on AWS.
• Ability to write code in Go or Python.
• Track record of making large production changes safely with a plan for rollback.
• Production experience with Istio, Envoy, or Cilium (preferred).
