Senior Frontend Engineer - Engine

What you'll do

• Design and build full-stack, frontend-leaning systems that are modular, composable, and resilient to changing requirements.
• Lead AI-assisted development by using agents for prototyping and refactoring while ensuring high standards of correctness and maintainability.
• Uphold high quality standards through rigorous design reviews, code reviews, and comprehensive test strategies.
• Build and maintain an automated testing suite including unit, integration, contract, component, and end-to-end tests.
• Champion functional programming principles and immutability to simplify system debugging and reduce side effects.
• Translate product vision into high-fidelity technical direction while communicating complex trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Proactively identify and resolve technical debt to maintain code health and engineering standards.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience building production web applications.
• 1+ years of experience as a senior engineer.
• Expert-level proficiency with TypeScript and strong experience with React and server-side rendered Next.js.
• Demonstrated ability to translate product vision into technical direction and articulate complex trade-offs to stakeholders.
• Proven technical leadership through mentorship, delegation, and high-quality code reviews.
• Experience using AI-augmented tools like Cursor and a practical understanding of applying AI agents in development.
• Preference for functional programming and immutability in modern frontend development (preferred).
