Senior FinOps Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead cloud financial management initiatives including cost optimization, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Analyze usage patterns and spending data to identify savings opportunities.
• Own and manage cloud cost management tools and best practices.
• Create and enforce smart cloud usage policies to balance performance, cost, and security.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Define and track key metrics to continuously improve cloud efficiency.
• Mentor teams on cloud financial best practices.

What we're looking for

• 3+ years’ experience driving effective FinOps practices at large cloud based organizations.
• Deep experience in cloud financial management with a focus on AWS and DataDog.
• Cloud engineering or DevOps skills.
• Comfort with Infrastructure as Code tooling, primarily Terraform.
• Strong analytical skills in financial reporting, forecasting, and cost modeling.
• Solid understanding of AWS services and how they impact cost structures.
• Experience with cloud cost management tools like Datadog Cloud Cost Management or AWS Cost Explorer.
• Certifications in AWS, FinOps, or cloud financial management (preferred).
