Senior Engineering Manager, Applied AI & Agentic Commerce Intelligence

What you'll do

• Own the end-to-end product architecture and technical strategy for the Applied AI intelligence layer across multiple platforms.
• Translate complex AI strategies into scalable, reusable capabilities that function consistently across 38+ global locales.
• Manage a multidisciplinary organization of engineers and scientists spanning applied ML, data science, and frontend/iOS development.
• Oversee the entire user experience to ensure high-quality integration between backend intelligence and front-end interfaces.
• Represent the engineering team in executive forums by communicating technical trade-offs and risks as clear business narratives.
• Set and enforce quality standards for AI correctness, safety, auditability, and global consistency.
• Mentor and develop a team of managers and senior individual contributors to operate at system scale.
• Research state-of-the-art agentic AI and LLM techniques to implement production-ready designs.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 12+ years of experience in applied machine learning, decision systems, or large-scale AI systems.
• 5+ years managing high-performing technical teams, including experience managing other managers across ML and product engineering.
• Proven track record leading an AI-powered product from concept to launch at a global scale of over one billion users.
• Hands-on track record shipping ML-powered products or features involving LLMs and AI agents capable of planning and tool use.
• Demonstrated experience presenting technical strategy and tradeoffs directly to senior or executive leadership.
• Experience operating in high-ambiguity, low-guidance environments while defining plans rather than just executing them.
• Experience with personalization, recommendation systems, commerce intelligence, or multilingual global-scale AI deployments (preferred).
