JOB TITLE: Senior Engineer, Technology II (Data Engineering & Architecture)
The Senior Engineer, Technology II (Data Engineering & Architecture) serves as the principal designer for the Operations Data organization. This role focuses on building cloud-native data lakehouse architectures and scalable data solutions for Supply Chain domains. You will design and implement end-to-end data pipelines, oversee legacy ETL transitions, and manage data products using Medallion Architecture and data mesh principles. Key responsibilities include modeling critical data flows from SAP and Blue Yonder planning systems into analytics-ready products. You will utilize a technical stack including AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS EMR, AWS Lambda, AWS Redshift, Apache Iceberg, SQL, Python, and Apache Spark/PySpark. Additionally, you will manage data governance, lineage, and quality using tools like Alation or AWS Glue Data Catalog to support enterprise dashboards and AI use cases.
Design and implement cloud-native data ingestion frameworks and end-to-end pipelines using AWS services like Glue, S3, and EMR.
Architect Supply Chain analytical solutions using Apache Iceberg and Medallion Architecture to ensure data quality and lineage.
Build and optimize AWS Redshift data warehouse solutions tailored for Supply Chain analytical use cases.
Establish standards for data product design, ownership, and interoperability based on data mesh principles.
Model critical data flows from SAP and planning systems into governed, analytics-ready data products.
Lead and supervise a technical data engineering team to ensure high-quality delivery and engineering excellence.
Translate complex business requirements into scalable, cost-effective data solutions for cross-functional stakeholders.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or related field with 7+ years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Master's Degree with 6 years of experience or PhD with 2 years of experience in data architecture and engineering.
Deep hands-on expertise with AWS Glue, Amazon S3, AWS EMR, and ETL technologies like Informatica.
Demonstrated experience with Apache Iceberg open table format or similar technologies for lakehouse architecture.
Proficiency with AWS Redshift or similar modern data warehousing platforms.
Proven experience designing Medallion Architecture, Data Product frameworks, and familiarity with data mesh principles.
Familiarity with Supply Chain ERP systems (SAP), Blue Yonder planning domains, and core Supply Chain data flows.
Strong programming skills in SQL, Python, and Apache Spark/PySpark; knowledge of data governance and reporting tools like PowerBI (preferred).
