Senior Director, R&D HR Business Partnering

What you'll do

• Lead a global team of HRBPs supporting senior executives across Engineering, Product, Security, and Research.
• Align talent strategy with the product roadmap, platform architecture, and operational goals in partnership with technical VPs.
• Act as the primary liaison between R&D leadership and internal Centers of Excellence to deliver tailored talent programs.
• Analyze people metrics to diagnose organizational health, attrition trends, and productivity indicators for proactive decision-making.
• Design agile R&D structures optimized for AI-native workflows, including team sizing and cross-functional interfaces.
• Update technical career frameworks and role definitions to reflect the impact of AI on engineering environments.
• Manage succession planning and retention strategies for specialized technical talent across global hubs.
• Provide high-trust coaching to senior technical leaders to navigate complex team dynamics and organizational changes.

What we're looking for

• You must have 15+ years of progressive HR experience.
• You must have 5+ years of experience leading an HRBP team supporting technical R&D, Engineering, or Product organizations in high-growth environments.
• You must demonstrate expertise in business acumen, organizational design, talent portfolio management, and driving change.
• You must possess a deep understanding of how AI tools reshape technical workflows.
• You must have the ability to assess character and human judgment when evaluating leadership potential and organizational health.
• You must have a proven track record of coordinating between executive stakeholders and specialized People functions.
• You must be able to coach and advise VP+ technical leaders with confidence and business fluency.
• You must be authorized to receive software or technology controlled under U.S. export control laws.
