Senior Data Engineer

What you'll do

• Architect and build scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows into a central data warehouse.
• Maintain infrastructure for clustering, translation pipelines, and NLP analysis supporting modeling teams.
• Build robust reporting pipelines for product and business-critical systems including generative credit usage data.
• Define coding standards and engineering guidelines to promote best practices across the team.
• Partner with data analysts, scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to influence technical roadmap.
• Support AI-powered insights by reducing dependency on ad hoc requests through efficient data infrastructure.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of hands-on data engineering experience with ownership of complex production systems
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, Databricks, Spark SQL, dbt, Airflow, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
• Ability to architect scalable data solutions and make trade-off decisions independently
• Demonstrated commitment to data quality through reliability and observability practices
• Experience translating ambiguous business needs into well-defined technical solutions
• Strong communication skills for explaining technical architecture to non-technical stakeholders
• Background in NLP pipelines, timely data processing, or ML feature engineering (preferred)
