As a Senior Cyber Security Engineer, you will join the Defense Sector team to provide ISSE support for a secure communications and data transfer network involving multiple closed user groups. Key technical requirements include experience with RMF, ICD 503, and NIST SP800-53 standards. You will utilize tools such as ACAS, Xacta, eMASS, Tenable, and systems involving Windows, Linux, Cisco, SQL, Oracle databases, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

What you'll do

Provide ISSE support for secure communications and data transfer networks across CONUS and OCONUS sites.
Design, install, and maintain security architecture for new installations and technology refreshes.
Implement technical security controls to protect information at the SECRET level.
Identify and remediate system vulnerabilities to ensure compliance with security standards.
Advise Information System Security Managers and Program Managers on cybersecurity requirements and risks.
Develop Security Assessment Reports and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).
Perform vulnerability scans to obtain and maintain Authority to Operate (ATO) from the Authorizing Official.
Create Operations and Maintenance documentation and provide training for secure communication capabilities.

What we're looking for

Must be a US Citizen and actively possess a Top Secret SCI security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical discipline.
10 or more years of prior relevant experience, or 14 years of experience without a degree.
Must hold at least one of the following certifications: Security+, CASP, or CISSP.
Experience designing and implementing technical security controls, identifying vulnerabilities, and performing RMF activities.
Experience with ACAS, Xacta, eMASS, and systems such as Windows, Linux, Cisco, SQL, Oracle, or Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
Knowledge of ATOs and required security controls for DoD networks (preferred).
Previous experience working with Air Force Special programs or other DoD systems (preferred).
