JOB TITLE: Senior Computer Scientist The Senior Computer Scientist joins the Emerging Products Group, a team developing next-generation imaging technologies and features for products like Lightroom and Photoshop. In this role, you will research and develop new computational photography algorithms or work with researchers to develop and tune AI-heavy features for photography and video. Key responsibilities include translating image processing code from Python into C++ for integration into various codebases or into CoreML, ONNX, and LiteRT for deployment on MacOS, Windows, iOS, and Android devices. You will utilize skills in computer vision, modern AI, and computational photography using tools such as PyTorch. The work focuses on solving complex imaging problems, such as automated tone and color adjustment and reflection removal, to create high-quality photographic experiences in mobile and desktop environments.

What you'll do

Research and develop new computational photography algorithms for various Adobe products.
Deploy computational photography algorithms into Indigo, Lightroom, Photoshop, and other imaging products.
Develop and tune AI-heavy features for photography and video content.
Translate image processing code from Python into C++ for integration into core codebases.
Convert code into CoreML, ONNX, or other formats for deployment on mobile and desktop devices.
Provide input on the strategic direction of new product features and technologies.

What we're looking for

B.S., M.S., or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with computer vision, computational photography, and/or modern AI applied to these fields.
Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
Experience with AI tools such as PyTorch, CoreML, LiteRT, or ONNX.
Enthusiasm for working with AI coding agents while maintaining high-quality.
Experience in photography and videography, including having a portfolio of your own work (preferred).
Knowledge of the iOS or Android platforms and mobile app development environments (preferred).
Experience in programming on GPUs or other hardware accelerators (preferred).
