What you'll do

Own the development of diagnostic requirements for Vehicle Dynamics subsystems including Driveline, Trailering, VMC, and VDSE.
Define diagnostic strategies, DTC architectures, fault detection methods, maturation logic, and customer notification requirements.
Develop diagnostic data requirements for Freeze Frame, Figure of Merit, Rolling Data Buffer, and event-triggered collection.
Translate vehicle-level functional requirements and failure modes into detailed requirements for production software implementation.
Lead diagnostic design reviews with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure alignment with corporate standards and quality objectives.
Define and maintain subsystem diagnostic BTS, validation strategies, and diagnostic governance processes.
Support software teams during implementation, integration, troubleshooting, and issue resolution activities.
Support diagnostic analytics, PHM, and field data strategies to improve root-cause analysis and continuous product improvement.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Software, Mechatronics, or Systems Engineering, or equivalent technical experience.
5+ years of experience in embedded controls, systems engineering, diagnostics, software development, or a related engineering field.
Experience defining diagnostic requirements for production vehicle programs, including fault detection, DTC implementation, and recovery logic.
Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the ability to decompose complex requirements into implementable solutions.
Working knowledge of automotive communication networks including CAN, Ethernet, LIN, and mechatronic control systems.
Understanding of software development processes, integration, validation, and release activities for embedded systems.
Familiarity with functional safety concepts and development practices consistent with ISO 26262.
Experience with requirements management and software development tools such as DNG, Jira, and Git.
