Senior Applications Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead technical execution for assigned platforms including YieldStar performance, control loops, and metrology optimization.
• Manage workstreams for new product introduction (NPI), pilot-line execution, and ramp-to-volume readiness.
• Serve as the primary technical interface between ASML and customers regarding on-product performance issues.
• Translate complex customer challenges into structured problem statements and actionable engineering solutions.
• Analyze large datasets from scanner and metrology tools to identify performance drivers and improvement opportunities.
• Design and conduct experiments with customers to validate product performance and value.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers within the applications team.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in IC manufacturing, lithography, metrology, or process technology.
• Experience supporting NPI, ramp, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Strong experience in data analysis and coding using tools such as Python, MATLAB, R, or JMP.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and lead technical workstreams within cross-functional and global teams.
• Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to interpret large datasets to derive actionable insights and perform hypothesis-driven problem solving.
• Must be legally authorized to access controlled technology as defined in U.S. Export Administration Regulations.
