Senior Application Analyst — Epic Beaker/EpicCare Link serves as a key member of the product development team, focusing on business systems design, configuration, and upgrades for assigned technology platforms. This role involves performing impact analyses, building and testing system changes, and identifying opportunities to improve platform performance and business workflows. The individual will act as a primary support contact for end-users, mentor junior analysts, and lead estimations for enhancement requests while coordinating with software vendors. Core competencies include strong analytical skills, problem-solving, and the ability to manage complex projects in a cross-functional environment. Technical requirements include expertise in Epic Beaker or EpicCare Link systems, specifically supporting clinical laboratory operations, pathology, genetics, or oncology workflows. The role addresses critical business processes within the cancer diagnostics domain to improve patient identification and lab order entry.
Design, configure, and test system changes for Epic Beaker and EpicCare Link platforms.
Perform impact analysis on requested changes to identify improvements for platform performance and business processes.
Serve as the primary support contact to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users.
Lead the estimation of enhancement requests and manage project status with leadership.
Liaise with business stakeholders and software vendors to ensure system changes align with business needs.
Mentor junior analysts and delegate configuration tasks or activities to team members.
Develop and document internal processes to drive continuous improvement for the IT department.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma and 4 years of relevant experience.
5+ years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions as an application analyst or project delivery role.
Subject Matter Expertise in patient identification workflows, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.
Ability to obtain relevant Epic software application certifications within 8 weeks of hire.
Current certification in Epic Beaker CP or EpicCare Link (preferred).
Additional relevant Epic certifications such as Genomics, Aura, Beaker AP, Ambulatory, or Orders (preferred).
Experience in health systems, reference labs, biotech, life sciences, or clinical laboratory operations (preferred).
