Senior Application Analyst — Epic Beaker/EpicCare Link
As a Senior Application Analyst — Epic Beaker/EpicCare Link, you will join the product development team to manage business systems design, configuration, upgrades, and improvements for assigned technology platforms. You will serve as a primary support contact for end-users, identifying issues, performing impact analyses of desired changes, and building and testing system modifications to improve performance and business processes. The role involves mentoring junior analysts, leading estimation for enhancement requests, and coordinating with software vendors to align technical delivery with business needs. You will utilize Epic Beaker, EpicCare Link, and potentially Epic Aura or Genomics tools while leveraging expertise in patient identification workflows, lab order entry, and clinical laboratory operations. This position solves complex problems within the oncology diagnostics space by optimizing workflows for pathology, genetics, and cancer detection environments.
Design, configure, and test system changes for Epic Beaker and EpicCare Link platforms.
Perform impact analysis on requested changes to identify improvements in platform performance and business processes.
Serve as the primary support contact to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues for end-users.
Lead the estimation of enhancement requests and manage project status with leadership.
Liaise with stakeholders and software vendors to ensure system changes align with business needs.
Mentor junior analysts and delegate configuration tasks or activities to team members.
Develop and document internal processes to drive continuous improvement within the IT department.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field; or a high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant experience.
At least 5 years of experience developing or configuring technology solutions as an application analyst or project delivery role.
Subject matter expertise in patient identification workflows, revenue cycle, CRM & MyChart, Patient Registration, or lab order entry.
Ability to obtain relevant Epic software application certifications within 8 weeks of hire.
Current certification in Epic Beaker CP or EpicCare Link (preferred).
Additional relevant Epic certifications such as Genomics, Aura, Beaker AP, Ambulatory, or Orders (preferred).
Experience in health systems, reference labs, biotech, life sciences, or clinical laboratory operations (preferred).
